Red Bay Coffee - East Fourteenth

Tanzania, Mbeya - 12 OZ - WHOLEBEAN

Tanzanian Dark Roast - Single Origin - Blackberry, Dark Chocolate, Date

East Fourteenth is an homage to a past heritage and a link to history in the making. It is the story of Oakland’s wide-reaching cultures and creeds. East Fourteenth’s rich, full body coffee showcases the talents of the Sweet Unity Farms coffee cooperatives and, for us, represents the big narrative of International Blvd. Sweet Unity Farms was founded by David Robinson, son of legendary baseball and activist David Robinson.

Each bag has been designed with focus on the country and origin of the coffee. Red Bay pays homage to the culture and traditions with patterns specific to the regions while using the branded look and style of RBC’s Black on Black design

Red Bay sees coffee as a vehicle for economic empowerment by hiring the formerly incarcerated, people of color and the disabled, and employing innovative profit-sharing programs throughout their company.

The Roaster

Red Bay Coffee Roasters was founded in 2014 by Keba Konte, a renowned artist and successful food entrepreneur with deep roots in the San Francisco Bay Area specialty coffee and hospitality industry. Red Bay seeks to create unity by hiring and serving people of all backgrounds, striving to be diverse and inclusive of those who have traditionally been left out of the specialty coffee industry, especially people of color, the formerly incarcerated, women and people with disabilities.

Red Bay Coffee is at the forefront of what we believe is the fourth wave of coffee—a firm commitment to ensure coffee production is not only high quality and sustainable, but a vehicle for diversity, inclusion, social and economic restoration, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability.
