The Southeast Sales Manager – Cafes

The Southeast Sales Manager – Cafes.  This is a leadership position for a true sales professional with a strong strategic mind-set.  You will have deep experience in Coffee, coffee adjacent or CPG sales and be a successful Territory Manager or Business Development Manager ready to make the next step.  Reporting to the Director of Café Sales, you will have success in building brands and lead the strategic direction of cafe channel across the region and create a vision for success. You are responsible for a go-to market strategy that will increase customer loyalty, distribution growth, and company profitability by continuing and building relationships with existing customers, distributors and brokers across the cafe channel.  This role with covers a wide territory across all the Southern States of the US, with primary focus on South East.


Set and own the long and short-term strategic priorities for South Eastern territory of the US within the café channel.
Develop a regional annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and business objectives.
Partner with the Director of Café Sales to establish sales objectives, forecasts, and develop annual sales quotas for the region.
Open new accounts and manage sales from end-to-end.
Achieve mutually agreed sales goals by ensuring customers focus on our brand and creating advocacy.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Conduct regular reviews to discuss accounts, new opportunities, customer issues, competition, industry updates, and new products.
Develop leads into opportunities by nurturing relationships, understand customer problems, and assist current and new customers to understand the value of the Minor Figures brand.
Collaborate with marketing on merchandising and product strategies for increased sales café channel.
Promote positive relations with staff, partners, and vendors.
Lead bi-monthly sales training focused on Minor Figures brands, such as objection handling, navigating the customer conversation, product positioning, brand training, etc.
Set and own the long and short-term strategic priorities for South Eastern territory of the US within the café channel.
Build relationships with our key distribution partners and brokers within this channel.
Hit revenue, P&L and key business growth targets at the national and regional level.
Volume forecasting, inventory management, and ensuring continuity of supply.
Maintain target margins for each product sold -review monthly account performance.
Identify market trends and opportunities and develop action plans.  


  • At least 5 years sales & business development experience within the CPG and/or Coffee industry
  • Success in brand building at cafe level
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of early-stage business
  • Specialized developing, owning and driving market-level KPIs at various levels of establishment
  • Must be able comfortable in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Potential to manage up to 5 direct reports
  • Able to travel 20% of the time
